Gillingham VAWG walk and talk/ multiple agency event : Fri 10 Apr 10:00

Dear Resident, 

As part of a Gillingham Day of Action, from 1000 hours to 1300 hours today (10/04/2026), Kent Police will be joining forces with our partner agencies in GILLINGHAM HIGH STREET. The Violence Against Women and Girls Walk and Talk will be held at multiple locations, starting from BALMORAL GARDENS, GILLINGHAM to GREEN STREET, GILLINGHAM. 

There will be multiple stands with local partners throughout this walk way, consisting of Medway Council, Petronellas Hope (Domestic Abuse Agency/Charity), Kent Fire and Rescue Services and staff from the Sunlight Centre. 

This is your opportunity to raise any concerns you may have and to find out what your local beat officers are doing to tackle the issues that matter to you. We will have safeguarding tools available to you to take away.

There will also a mobile phone marking stand on GREEN STREET, this is free - should your phone be lost or stolen it increases the chances of the phone being recovered.
